Boo Chapter 3

Kaito's eyes flicker open as he wakes up, the late morning light coming in through the large window of his bedroom. Miya was curled up close to him as usual and he smiles a bit before laying his head in between her neck and shoulder. She was cold, as she normally was when she slept. He gently nibbles at the spot on her neck that he knew would wake her up the quickest, her sweet spot. Her eyes shoot open quickly with a sudden squirm. He chuckles and bit and kisses her cheek, a satisfied smile dancing on his lips. A deep blush was crossing Miya's cheeks and her nose as she lets out a sigh trying to cover the embarrassment.
"Morning Love~" He says with smile. He seems completely awake and rested; while his wife was still sleepy from the intrusion they had during the night. He stretches his legs while still laying down, knowing he could do that without hitting his wife, knowing how much shorter she was than him.
"Good morning…" she says with a slight pout. She hated to be woken up, let alone by her husband nibbling at the spot her knew would get her going. She rests her head back down on his bare chest, laying as close to him as possible.
"I'll go make you some tea." Kaito says with a taunting smile. He knew she never stayed in bed after him, so she was bound to follow him. He didn't mind her lying in after him, or Miya not being with him twenty-four-seven, he just liked teasing her and making things a lot more difficult then they needed to be. He rolls out of bed and plants his feet down before he could fall, and makes his way to the kitchen still only in his boxers. He puts the kettle on the stove instantly feeling the heat off of the burner. He turns to see Miya, still curled up underneath the large purple comforter. Now he was rather considered.  He walks back into the bedroom laying back next to her but on top of the covers.
"Miya?" he asks her, leaning down to kiss her forehead. Miya looks up to him, her face showing that she is upset. She doesn't reply, but curls into a tighter ball. Kaito knew, even if she hadn't been making the face she was, that she was upset.
"It's nothing… I'm just thinking…" she says with a sigh. She rubs her eye and rolls over to grab her eye patch that was resting on her nightstand. She sits up just enough to tie it under her hair then she lies back down. She keeps her eyes down so she doesn't meet her husbands. She runs her fingers along the defined muscles on his chest. Her fingers have run over them a million times, yet somehow it always fascinated her.
"And what are you thinking about?" He asks. He wasn't going to let it drop there. She wouldn't talk about it if she wasn't asked to. His wife was rather closed when it came to how she felt. He lifts her chin with his pointer finger and makes her meets his eyes. She sighs and takes his hand, mindlessly playing with his fingers.
"I was thinking…about what Mary said last night. How we still don't have any kids." She says sadly. It had been bothering her since the witch said it; it has been 200 years, and she still hasn't moved on from losing the baby. Kaito's eyebrows narrow; not in concern but in curiosity. It wasn't often Miya took anything someone said to her to the heart.  He takes the hand she was playing with and intertwines their fingers. He kisses the back of her hand before speaking.
"Miya, what are you trying to tell me?" he says. He was never good at knowing what people meant and the way this conversation was going, this could go many ways. Miya shrugs and brings their hands to her cheek.
"I don't know what I'm trying to tell you…" she says quietly. Kaito lets out sigh. He leans in and kisses her nose not sure what else he can really do. How can he help her if she doesn't even know what she wants? "Can you just lay with me?" she asks, looking up to him. He nods and slides under the covers. He holds her close in his arms and nuzzles his face into her hair.
"I love you, Miya." Kaito replies, his words slightly muffled against her hair. He closes his eyes and finds comfort in her awkwardly cold skin.
"I love you too, Kaito." she replies. They're quite for a moment, just lying there until the kettle in the kitchen goes off. Kaito opens his eyes and sighs.  He goes to sit up, but Miya grabs his hand. "I-I'm not one-hundred-percent sure yet, but I think I may want to try again." Kaito's eyes widen a bit, but he can't help the smile that crosses his lips. He nods before going to the kitchen to get the kettle off the flame.
